Club Health 2008 marks a decade of international Club Health conferences focusing on the wide range of issues that affect the health of young people in nightlife settings. This includes alcohol and drug use, sexual health, violence and anti-social behaviour, management and design of nightlife settings, late night transport, bar staff training, and international nightlife tourism. The conferences are interdisciplinary, bringing together individuals from a wide range of fields to help promote better interagency understanding of nightlife issues and hence better partnership working to create safer night time environments. |

The aims and objectives of the Club Health conferences are:
- To introduce delegates to the latest research and evidence on club health issues
- To enable the exchange and development of practical and policy measures to protect nightlife health
- To promote partnerships between health services, criminal justice agencies, local authorities, nightlife industries, the media and the public
- To develop networks for the international dissemination of research, evidence and practice
