For the last five years Friday nights at Space have been a showcase for Spanish underground techno, presented by local heroes La Comunidad.
This years they move Saturday nights @ Privilege Ibiza

“We were tired of going to other clubs and feeling like we were the tourists,” progenitor Pepo Lanzoni told us back in 2003 .
Utilising connections with the radio stations, the best of homegrown djs, the Internet and their own record store, Industria, they managed to transfer the rootsy vibe from their beachside parties at Jockey Club to one of the world’s most high profile superclubs.

After four years marked by an impressive rise in Ibiza stardom, Meganite’s fifth star is set to shine on the white isle throughout the long awaited summer season 2008. Every Wednesday from June 11th to September 24th, Mauro Picotto and Meganite will bring fresh excitement to the world’s biggest club, Privilege.

Meganite’s own superstar DJ Mauro Picotto has been busy preparing what is undoubtably the best lineup to date, welcoming back top artists such as Adam Beyer, Gabry Fasano, Marco Carola, Misstress Barbara, Francesco Farfa, Christian Smith, Riccardo Ferri, Paco Osuna, Danilo Vigorito, Phil Kieran to name but a few, and introducing a new wave of electronic music talent to make each night unforgettable. Both the main room and the Coco Loco will welcome top international artists such as Slam, Secret Cinema, Paul Ritch, Maetrik, Markantonio, Fergie, Alexi Delano, Patrik Skoog, Joel Mull, Silicon Soul, Joseph Capriati, Athos and many more! Exclusive parties will be hosted in the Coco Loco room by record labels including Alchemy, Drumcode, Soma and Analytic Trail as well as events hosted by Orbeat, London Insomnia, Ibiza Global Radio and Xplosiva.
On Wednesday, August 6th, Meganite’s fifth birthday party is set to be a spectacular event, welcoming back special guest Claudio Coccoluto, who will be preceded by an unmissable surprise show which will make this night one to remember.

The impressive lineup of events will be surrounded by intimate decor and the newly improved Privilege “Funktion One” sound system, turning it into an ideal setting for Meganite’s electronic sound and a unique experience for clubbers. Tiësto announces residency at Privilege, Ibiza, for summer 2008

For the first time in three years Tiësto returns to the island of Ibiza to host his own weekly residency at Privilege.

Tiësto will be the resident every Monday, starting on the 7th of July until the closing party on the 22nd of September. Tiësto will deliver his four hour deejay sets in the style of his ‘In Search of Sunrise’ series, everything dedicated to the atmosphere that can only be found on the Balearic Islands.

To underline its reputation as biggest club in the world, Privilege has set up a Tiësto customized event for his residency; complete with a totally new and future tech production, a newly designed and customized deejay booth, a full state of the art LED back wall, and the latest new design when it comes to light and video. All this combined with the sound of Tiësto will create an atmosphere, incomparable to any of the club nights on Ibiza and it will without a doubt deliver the highest quality night this summer on the entire island.

Ibiza has always been a source of positive inspiration for Tiësto and in 2007; he named the sixth volume of his In Search of Sunrise series after the island. “It’s the place to be when it comes to the most crazy and energetic parties”, he says. “At the same time Ibiza has a lot of beautiful and still secret spots to be discovered, so my love and dedication for the island, its atmosphere and the party people will most definitely be felt by everyone who’s going to enjoy my residencies at Privilege. Knowing that I will play the latest and best new tunes available, all shows backed by the highly professional production of the club and the fact that I will be able to deliver this to the people in the biggest club in the world, well, you can’t afford to not come to Privilege on Monday nights this summer!”

The residencies will also feature guest DJs, all selected by Tiësto himself and some of the names that the audience can expect are Chris Lake, Andy Duguid (Ibiza debut), Mat-Zo, Cosmic Gate, Alex Kunnari and Sander van Doorn. There will be exclusive appearances by Fonzerelli (Ibiza debut), and Airbase. In the backroom of Privilege, Riley & Durant will present Electric Playground, supported by Galaxy FM.

Tiësto had two successful Elements of Life events at Privilege last year and he is looking forward to play at the biggest club in the world again. His residency will be the ultimate chance for everyone visiting Ibiza to experience the ultimate feeling of Ibiza together with Tiësto.
